With the recent release of their self titled CD, NSB is sharing their modern style of worship with the listener.
Self described as “..four average guys who want to share their faith of Jesus through the music we play”, NSB has done just that. All of the songs on the CD are original works of NSB. Showing their faith, and worship in a no-genre boundaries style.
The CD, recorded in a make shift studio run by PSM, and co-produced by the band – has already gotten praises from
fans. NSB stated that it was not an attempt to get famous, or make money…it was to share the music and the message within each of those songs with the person listening. They’ve done just that…and in the process gave 300 CD’s away for free by request.
“We wanted to get the message and the songs out there. It was not an attempt to build a fan base, just honest ministry work for us. If anyone wants to contribute to the cost or cause, they can go to one of the web sites and purchase downloads of our music. In fact CD Baby has the physical CD you can order through them. The CD project has been paid for, so we are not getting calls from studios, distribution companies or local music stores wanting us to pay a bill.” bass player and lead vocalist Stephen Forrest stated.
“I love recording, playing, and writing. I do it every spare second I have. I had been blessed with a few songs that had a really important message in them and I was surrounded by the other guys in the band who had the talent to make those songs convey the message.” James Clark (Lead guitarist) said. “Sure we had some stressful moments, and I went to bed with a head ache echoing the NSB song I had mixed on that day, but it was all well worth it. When you get an email from someone who just listened to the CD and they tell you what the songs meant to them…it takes all the negative stuff away.” he added.
NSB is currently not touring at the moment due to scheduling and other member projects. They have stated “we’ve been offered some more gigs, and we’ve talked about it. Maybe you can catch us somewhere live pretty soon. We’ll have to wait and see how things pan out.”
